It's All About the Patches

Chase was busy this summer. She completed enough activities for these 21 patches. These are called try-its. [There are 58 that she can earn in the next two years of Brownie-hood]

Close-ups:
More than any other girl in her troop! [The next highest amount was 5]

In addition to these, they can earn patches for going to different activities, camp, service projects... Those all go on the back of the vest. Right now she only has two of that kind of patch. One for the 4th of July Parade and one for early registration [Although we should be getting the one from going to Camp and one from the Indian Pow-Wow soon.] She is anxious to get more of these.

That brings us to the patches she wants to earn right now.
This is actually made up of many different patches. Those of you that received an email soliciting magazine sales helped her to earn the swing. Those of you that will get something in the mail helped her earn the slide. [You don't have to buy a thing for those!] Some of you may be receiving a gift of a magazine subscription. Those will help her get the Monkey in the tree top. And the Tree House... that one is going to take some help. That is the one that she needs to sell 7 orders of nuts. Her troop is hoping that those 7 will be designated for Operation: Troop Aid. If you would like to contribute to this goal let me know! [Your $6 donation is tax deductible and if each girl meets their 7 person goal they will send nuts and trail mix packages to 140 deployed service men and women!]
