Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very frightening.* 3 am also brought hail and high winds and water dripping down the brick wall in our bedroom [Looks like the flashing around the fireplace needs some more goop. But who wants to head up there? Any volunteers?]
It was a good thing that I fell asleep at 9 pm [no Oscars for me], because my day effectively started at 3. Avery does not like thunderstorms. Every time I got her settled down and back to sleep, we go another house shaking set of thunder and lightening and it kept it up until 6 am. Combine that with a trembling and shaking cat--who was fighting the baby over my lap--and you have the recipe for zero sleep.
Everyone else slept like bricks. Chase informed me that she and Ellis must have a sound proof room. Maybe next storm I'll make the baby and cat camp out in there.
