Trouble

I am in some serious trouble. Recent article on the early signs of Alzheimer's has me scared. Of course I think they are also all signs of having an infant and toddler in the house.

1. You forget what you had for breakfast.- honestly, I forget if I even HAD breakfast OR lunch.

2. You lose track of numbers- it's true, I have to check off how many kids I have in the car and think twice if it is the right number for the time of day. And what day is it? And what month? And what year? How old am I? I may have to consult my driver's license.

3. You get flustered by routine activities- yep.

4. You hit the brakes hard at most traffic lights- of course when I do this it is either because I was trying to get fighting kids attention, or I was distracted by fighting children. Take your pick.

5. You find your “lost” cell phone in the refrigerator- in my house, this is a sign of a toddler. Avery loves to put things in special hiding places. I just wish I knew where they all were.

6. You call a watch a "hand clock"- again, toddler and child speak. I find myself trying to describe things in simple ways that that child might understand. But yes, I find myself calling things all kinds of strange things.

7. You try to cross a busy intersection without waiting for the light- who hasn't made the occasional dash for it?

8. You become less social- who has time to be social? 8 pm has me longing for bed.

So what do you think? Are you at risk too?
