Apparently this is also true in air travel.
We made it to Squaw Valley, where we will be staying until race day. [Western States 100 mile Endurance Run, that is... Mark will be bib number 39 for anyone wanting to follow him race day.] But not until we had visited the Cleveland Airport, three - count them, three - separate times.
The first time United was able to blame it on thunderstorms and tornadoes in the mid-west. After spending three hours in line we were told that we were confirmed on a Delta flight leaving the next morning and arriving in Sacramento at lunch time. Day two, Delta informed us that they rejected our confirmation and that we would have to visit with United AGAIN. Two hours later they told us there was NOTHING they could do for us unless we came back the next day for a 6:00 am flight. Day three we made it. And went first class. As nice as that was, it didn't quite make up for how annoying it all was.
So here we are.
I will post some pictures of our adventures. Soon.

Oh my gosh. I can't even begin to imagine how angry I would be. Anyone care to compensate you for 2 lost days of vacation???? How infuriating!!
