So how bare do you let the cupboards get before you restock?
Most of the times I feel like we're overflowing. How could we ever need this much food? But there are times that things have just been too busy--no real time to walk into a store-- and I manage to get very creative with meals and then suddenly I discover that even though there is still technically food in the house--it just doesn't go well together. Today I was staring at a refridgerater that held only eggs, potatoes, red grapefruit, condiments and a can of black olives and was SERIOUSLY debating if there was anyway to put off grocery shopping.
Work calls, baby naps, and bus schedules were not helping matters out. But fear not, we managed to run out to the store and, in less than a hour, restock.
There is a small part of me that is always tempted to see how far I can push it.. but if there is not at least milk and cereal in the house things could get very ugly.
Tonight's dinner? Lasagna.
Tomorrow's? Homemade Chicken Pot Pies.
The list? One more thing checked off.
