Super Woman Wears Pajamas*

Some days you wear pajamas all day and feel like a blob. But some days you can wear the pajamas and feel like Super Woman.

So far, today feels like one of those days. Considering it is a Monday, that is even much more impressive [if I do say so myself.] It's not yet noon, so I know things could change on a dime, but I am going to enjoy the feeling while it lasts.

This morning I had packed Chase's lunch, snack and book bag, done weekly billings for work, wrote award descriptions, and finished the tele-prompter script that I need this afternoon--before anyone else had even opened their eyes for the day. After I got Mark out the door, coffee in hand, and Chase on the bus, I sorted recycling and got the garbage out to the curb BEFORE the truck [some days I am dashing down the drive when I hear the truck.] Then fed Avery and Ellis breakfast.

And then, just to really feel like I had done something for the morning, I took down, wrapped and boxed all the Christmas decorations. [The tree and lights will have to wait. We have to do this in baby steps or the shock throws my kids into a deep depression. Ellis was not happy and kept trying to re-hang the ornaments.] The boxes are all now in the attic where they belong.

And yep. I am STILL in my pjs.

But I will have to make a costume change, dress the little girls and head into work for a quick video shoot [I am crossing my fingers that it is FAST and that the ladies don't kill themselves or trash my office while they wait!]

But I can tell you that I fully plan to put the pajamas back on as soon as we get home to meet Chase and the bus. And then maybe take a nap.

*Some day, should I ever write a book about surviving parenting... this will be the title. So no stealing it for your own writing endeavors. I did a Google search and as of today... I am the only one crazy enough to write such a sentence... or at least crazy enough to post it on the world wide web.

Surely, there isn't anything wrong in wearing pajamas for women as you only wish to wear the most comfortable nighties after a long day at work.
