37 Weeks

*******************Update***********************

Shoe shopping was a disaster. No shoes were bought. Avery was busy running and hiding in the aisles. Chase and Ellis thought all the shoes felt "funny." Then we went out to the parking lot to discover that the electronic key for the car wouldn't work. The dash just flashed "bad key." The AAA truck driver had to manually put the engine into neutral. And then asked me to help him push it out of the space. Or not. He called for back-up after he decided that pushing the van might be a bad plan for a nine month pregnant lady (although the idea of starting labor was tempting). They have to order a new key and will be re-programming it to the car tomorrow. It turned out to be a part of a recall that was announced 3 weeks ago. But a major pain. AAA always asks if you are in a place safe enough to wait the possible 45 minutes. I was safe enough, but possibly not sane enough. At this point I will be fine with the girls going barefoot to school.

It's only Monday.

Today is the day that I am officially full term.

Baby 4... you are welcome to arrive any day now.

This weekend I suffered from a terrible cold. Strangely, one of the side effects was that my contractions slowed down and even stopped for a while. I guess too much energy was going to the creation of phlegm.

Mark spent a lot of time taking Chase and Ellis away to let me rest. Avery stayed with me and trashed the house while I watched from the bed or couch. I figure this is a preview of what it will be like when I am nursing the new baby. Clearing off book shelves and emptying kitchen draws is very exciting.

I feel like I have turned the corner. Although still stuffy, I can breath through my nose and have more energy this morning. Knock on wood.

Still have no feeling in my hands. Been two full weeks.

Week a half until the school year starts. If I can muster the energy, we'll be shopping for gym shoes today.
