One Month

******Update***********
Biliruben levels are at 7--well below 20 (where we would start being concerned). Next week is supposed to bring some warmer and sunnier days (well 68 IS warmer than 48*!) and try to get some sun time to help speed along the healing process.

*Seriously, Christa? Jealous of our cold and rain?

*************************

Kendall is one month old today.

Wow, has the time flown!

Official stats:
Weight: 8.5 lbs (5th-10th percentile)
Height: 20.25 inches (3rd -5th percentile)
Head: 13.5 inches (3rd-5th percentile)

We had to get a blood draw at the lab to check bilirubin levels. She is still jaundiced. All her newborn screens were normal, so no genetic cause, but they want to rule out a prenatal hepatitis (which I had never heard of before) and just make sure that her liver is functioning properly. We should have the results back tomorrow. They did the draw in her arm with the rubber band and everything. Holding her while she screamed and turned all shades of orange, red and purple was very hard for me. Avery sucked on a lollypop, played with stickers, and made friends with the nurses. Kendall is still refusing to be put down. 2 hours later.
