The day of departure has arrived.
I am furiously finishing slide decks. Furiously checking off lists. Furiously cleaning my house. Furiously packing. Furiously... you get the idea.
Come 5:55 pm, the family will be on a plane and headed south. Unfortunately our weather precedes us.
We are looking forward to a visit with the Mennenga family. It has been over 2 years since our last visit.
And then the big show. Prepared or not. Typos or not. It's like that college presentation that you put off to the last minute. Crammed for. Recruited a friend for a prop. Did a sketchy oral presentation and hoped that your nerves were not as transparent as they felt. I'm trying to remember my crowd. They may all be so busy checking their blackberries that any flaws go unnoticed.
