I got out the infant car seat, to check the expiration date and see how much clean-up it might need. We are good to go for another year on the date [thank goodness, have you priced these things lately?] But a little critter had been stealing fabric from the cover. Nice.
So, after contacting Graco to find out that they wanted more than $50 for a new cover, and checking out the offerings on EBay, only to decide that I didn't want to risk smoke, pet, or other people's crud, I decided to head to JoAnn's and make my own.
So for less than $12, we have a fresh and clean cover. And I think it is a little bit styling, too.

Just stopping by from SITS. wow that is awesome! I have always wished I knew how to sew! Have a great day!
Hello from SITS!
That is an awesome cover! How did you ever figure out how to customize the cover? I can sew, but I need patterns!
Wow Jennifer, that's fantastic! I'm so jealous of your sewing skills. I have troubles just sewing your regular cut and dry curtains. Did you use a pattern or just whip it up on your own?
I'm convinced you have more hours in your day than I do in mine. How on EARTH would you find time to complete such a project??? I can't even carve out enough time to thread my darn sewing machine in order to mend the bumper pads for the crib!!
That is SO cute! wow, great job- I really wish I could sew!
