Rainy Saturday

Today was a dark and dreary, hide in bed and read a book kind of day.

The girls and I slept in until nearly 9am and it felt like such a treat. A little laundry. A little clogged sink patrol [And doing dishes after 3 days of no sink was actually a TREAT.] And a little snuggling with girls and books [I read a pile of library books with the girls, and read the final book in the twilight series. FYI - Reading and washing dishes at the same time can get a little tricky.]

By lunch time we were ready for a little distraction. We headed to the library for a t-shirt decorating party. It wasn't the best organized event that I have ever attended, but the girls seemed to have fun, and that is what counts. And I am always happy to support the programs at my local library!

I thought that they looked like they were ready to do some serious chemical experiments. Check out the gloves!

And they were primarily interested in using the "Fairy Dust," and matching one another. Little else going on there was of any interest to them.

After that little break, it was back to listening to the rain and reading more books! It was just that kind of day. And I was able to finish my book [Which I picked up at the library yesterday and read all 755 pages in less than 24 hours...] But after all that down time, I am up late and wondering if I feel like sleeping at all. Hmmm. A little too much of a good thing.
