Fall Festivus

It was a brisk fall evening. The rain held off and Mark took the girls out for over an hour of treat gathering. I held down the fort and handed out candy.

The cat pumpkins looked very cheerful.


Chase and Ellis brought home more candy than they need, or even want. They are busily going through what they want. My favorite approach is the "2 Licks and then throw it away" technique that they are so fond of using. Gets the stuff out of here faster.


Fortunately, I don't really care for (and neither do the girls) chocolate, so all the candy bars go to Mark. There is a pile of "no one even wants to lick candy" that is headed to the school donation to Ronald McDonald house. Sorry to the sick families, but maybe one of them will actually like Good-and-Plenty or Tootsie Rolls.
