Dishing up Beer

Mark and Kam brought three giant bottles of different beer to Grandma Jean's Birthday dinner. Everyone sampled a little of each and then the bottles migrated, open, to the back of the fridge. I hate letting things go to waste and I have been trying to decide what to do with all this flat beer.

So tonight's dinner [at least the adult portion] will be brought to you by St. Bernardus Abt 12 and the Southern Tier Brewery. [Still not sure what to do with the Frambroise-- it is a sweet raspberry brew. Perhaps a dessert recipe at a later date?]

Salad
Beer Cheese Soup [The Wisconsin native would disapprove. I used New York Sharp White Cheddar-- which makes for a strange colored soup. More the color of the beer. But it is tasty.]
Beer Bread [Ellis helped mix this up and did NOT approve of the batter. Pointed out that it smelled very 'beery."]

I'll let you know how it all turns out.
