We have had a TON of snow around here (about 16 inches). Last week Chase had one snow day and two delayed starts. We had a bit of a melt off this weekend. Which translates to 16 inches of snow are now eight inches of ice.
To that we now add cold and MORE snow. Guestimates are another 15 inches by Wednesday. Which translates to another snow day (Chase is actually a little sad about this... it means that there will be no Christmas Choir Concert.) and even a delayed start for Mark. I had the pleasure of fielding both calls at 6:00 a.m. --but I was awake anyway.
Why? Because all this snow comes with high winds. Ones that woke my kids up in the middle of the night. Chase and Ellis took over our bed. Five people do NOT fit in a queen size bed--at least not comfortably (if you were wondering).
The slamming also goes for work. December is usually super slow for me. But last week was actually very busy--and this week will be, too. Which can be hard with ALL the kids here... but if I can survive the insanity, certainly helps the Christmas Elves.
And a slamming of an entirely different sort (soccer ball in to net variety)... We had a houseful last night-- of enthusiastic Akron Zip fans. Cheering on the team as they earned the first National Championship for Akron in any sport.
