1.) We went to the school and visited her classroom. Scoped out the closest bathroom and drinking fountain. Walked the path from the buses to the second grade hallway. Discovered that she would have hooks instead of a locker this year. And that she'll have to enlist a classmate to help her hang her coat and put her lunch on the shelf. If she stands on her way, way tip-toes she can *almost* reach the hook. Nothing new. [But we did discover that one of her good friends is going to be in her class. Chase is thrilled!]
2.) Chase got her Back-to-school haircut. It ended up a little shorter than she wanted, but she is really happy with it and thinks that it looks pretty. I agree. [On the hair. Not the tongue.]
3.) Then we wanted to spend the rest of the day doing something fun. So much for that. Ellis ran to the bathroom while Chase was getting her hair cut and started throwing up. She is now running a fever of 103 and flopping around crying and has declared today the "Worstest day in the whole wide world."* And Chase is BORED. I feel a bit like whining and flopping, too.
*Update. After another round of throwing-up Ellis has amended this statement. It is now the "Worstest day in the whole wide universe."
