This is the top off of a pineapple. Did you know that lurking under every top was a plant just waiting to be planted? Twist the top off the next pineapple you buy and you will find roots.
We are attempting to grow our very own pineapple plant. Even though we are about as far away from tropical as you can get.
If nothing else, it makes a good science lesson...
