Rise and Shine

*Update: The early morning has caught up with Ellis. She is asleep on the couch. Nude, except for a pair of pink 'winter' crocs. Wish I could post a picture, but I think it is a little too graphic! Will she be ready to PAR-TEE in an hour?


This morning was a real treat. Ellis woke at 5:30 and decided she needed to go downstairs and start the day. [Could it be the side effect of the Winter Solstice?]

One hitch to her plan. We had a house guest asleep on the couch, and I didn't want to wake him so early. So I got to sit in bed for 3 hours with a child kicking me, crying, and yelling. I tried the "special breakfast in bed" approach. She was having none of it.

Now that she has free reign of the house she is being sweet as pie. Ah the mood swings of the small fry.

So up and at 'em.
