Facebook Lists Strike Again

So the latest list request is to come up with 25 random things about yourself. Now you may remember that back in December I was tasked with 16 random things. So this 25 brings me up to 41. I hope that I can now say that I am DONE. On the other hand, blogging is really just a way to chronicle random things... so in reality, there is more to come!

1. I handle most childhood ickiness without a second thought, but have discovered recently that wiggly teeth freak me out.

2. Laundry is my biggest household nightmare. It doesn't help when my running hubby averages a pile of 25 wet and stinky things a day [Yes that is 175 articles a week, just for him, that need to washed, dried, and put away. But to be fair... his work clothes aren't wet and stinky]

3. I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes and am disappointed when they don't turn out great. And it seems like there are more disappointing recipes than not out there.

4. Even though I almost always cook a meal for dinner, most of the time only the adults will eat the whole thing, and the girls end up eating something like pirogis, soup or cereal!

5. I have become a fan of the Disney Channel and find that I will watch it when I am up by myself, late at night.

6. Most of my close friends have been my friends since childhood.

7. And I am glad to have reconnected with a few others on this thing called Facebook.

8. I love working out at the gym and wish that I had more time to do it.

9.I love chewy mint candy, cinnamon candy, now and laters, and laffy taffy. I will sometimes boycott real food and eat these instead. I have had days where I ate nothing but cinnamon red hots. Not proud of that, but it is true. And to be honest, I had chewy mint candies for breakfast today.

10. Was highly relieved to read that you cannot get diabetes from eating too much sugar. It is a myth.

11. I encourage my girls to do imaginative play, but wish that it didn't require so many costume changes. Or that they could wiggle into the fairy dresses on their own. Or tie the belt to the pirate vest.

12. I resent that I am often cast as the dragon. And the prince. Why can't I ever get the good parts?

13. Even when I make a list for groceries, I always manage to forget an item or two. And even if I discover that before I leave the store, I usually won't go back and get the item.

14. What is more annoying to me is getting home from the store to discover that something that I thought we had lots of (Milk or Bread) has magically dwindled to dangerous levels. I am starting to think that the cat is helping himself when we aren't looking.

15. I have gone through 2 pregnancies but do not have any pictures of me looking visibly pregnant. And I only regret that a *tiny* bit.

16. I don't think that I look much like a teenager anymore but still get carded at R rated movies. At least no one has asked if Mark is my parent or guardian in a while.

17. Of course I have only been to two "grown-up" movies in the last two years.

18. After Chase was born, I got contacted by the county. They told me that I had to have social services come to the home. That it is standard procedure for all teen mothers. I WAS 28! A nurse filled out a form without ever looking at my age on my chart! [And they still came out to see my drivers license as proof that I was not a teen mother!]

19. I am highly annoyed by the fact that yogurt containers are not recyclable plastic. Especially considering how much of it we eat. Come on Stoneyfield Farms. I expect more from you. And you, too Yoplait.

20. I have been battling ice on my front porch and it had gotten so thick nothing would budge it. Out of desperation I used the antique Alps Ice Ax. [Sorry honey!] But it worked like a dream. Sometime ask Mark to tell the story about bringing that home on a plane!

21. Valentine's Day will mark 14 years since my first date with Mark. He brought me flowers. And has given me flowers on every Valentine's Day since.

22. As I am typing this list, Ellis is on the floor, pretending to be a cat. Playing with the feather cat toy (like a fishing rod) that I am dangling over her. Perhaps we take the imaginative play too far?

23. I do not like coffee. I NEVER drink it. But I make it every morning for Mark.

24. I am so thankful for the library. There are weeks that I am there 3 or 4 times. Sometimes just for books and movies. I love to have a variety of things to read. And sometimes for the fabulous programs they offer. I like to make the most of my tax dollars at work!

25. Thought of a lot of random things that people probably wouldn't care about or would consider TMI. If you really want to know some of these, I'll share them privately!

I am pretty amazed to have come up with 41 (let us not forget my 16 random list) things to share with you all.
