So I was thinking that I would like to have this be a year of working toward health and balance. [Notice that I said working toward... ] Spiritual, Physical, Emotional, Financial. I am sure I am missing a category, but you get the idea. No real set goal that I am reaching for... just want to be more conscience of what my behaviors are now and what I can do to make better and healthier choices. [And hopefully make the better ones more often.] And to that end I have a few things planned.
First, I found something at the Prevention Magazine website, called my Health Trackers. It lets you put in all kinds of things, like what you eat, your activities. See the picture. Of course I wish I didn't start having it assess what I eat on a day I had Junior Mints for breakfast. [I think it is outrageous that they say the box has 3 servings! Yikes I never noticed. 570 calories for the box. Ugh.] Lets you also assess things like how much water you drink. Emotional states. Looks interesting.

Secondly, I am planning on reading 12 books of the Bible. [One a month, TBD] In the past I have read the whole thing. And think that I missed a lot in just trying to get through. [And with kids this has become really hard for me! Last year I made it most of the way through the Old Testament and then gave up...] So I thought that this year I would try taking a more leisurely pace, and really think about what I am reading. So if you are reading something awesome, let me know. I haven't yet figured out which books to read.

When I was first married, I had a great deal of time on my hands while Scott was travelling Mon. thru Fri, and I was unemployed. I remember reading Proverbs and studying it in-depth. It was wonderful and inspirational and something I'd like to do again. I highly recommend making this one of your 12 books for the year! :-)
