A week ago, I was thinking that I would be lucky if I got one single thing out of my garden before the snow started blowing.
This week, it was full of promise. Tiny watermelons and squash on the vine. Tiny ears of corn with silky tassels.
Flowering okra, cucumber and green bean plants.
Lots of purple beans. Promising tomatillos. Lots of green tomatoes. Many, many crook neck squash.
And ONE red ripe tomato.
I am looking forward to finding out what these purple beans taste like. And, I just enjoyed a BLT with that sweet, sweet fruit of the vine.
