Shoes, Part II

You might remember my recent, desperate Quest for Shoes.

And the fact that it was unsuccessful, and I wore flip flops at my event.

In true Murphy's fashion, this week I found the perfect pair of shoes. They are perhaps the most comfortable pair of ballet flats that I have ever put on my feet. And I found them on a chance tour down the shoe aisle at Target on my lunch hour. In a size 5. For $12. When not on feet, they do resemble slippers. Has something to do with the Faux Fur lining! But, oh, so comfy!

And while I was walking up and down the aisle thinking how these things happen when you don't really need them, I spied a pair of gold/tan flats on the clearance rack. I thought they were cute, and, low and behold, they were a size 5. I tried them on and they fit and felt good! And were $5!

Score.

Size 5 is a rare find. Before her pregnancies, my mother wore a child's size 1, and had a hard time finding anything remotely respectable. Two finds in one day is unheard of!
