Mom behaving badly

Feeling like a Mom who has behaved badly. Feel the need to confess these doings, AND get some reassurance that you are not alone? That is the idea behind McMamma's "Not Me Monday." Head over and check out all the others who have not behaved badly this past week.

I, for one, must confess that I had a banner week. That is if there is an award for questionable actions...

I did not take my children to work with me and shut them in my office for HOURS while I attended a meeting. That would be totally unprofessional and even if there was a totally pressing deadline and no school or babysitter for the day, I just wouldn't have done that.

I did not discover that my daughter had sneaked raspberries into her bed by stepping on a bunch of them in the morning when getting her up for school. And I did not leave them squashed into the carpeting for FIVE days. Only cleaning them up, just in the nick of time, before we had house guests.

And speaking of house guests, I did not, when changing the linens for their bed, leave one pillowcase unchanged. I didn't just give it a sniff check, and a once over and leave it because I didn't have another matching clean one and didn't have time to run a load of laundry. That would be gross.

And of course, I didn't prepare for guests by HIDING the clutter in closets. And hoping that they were not inclined to snoop. And I am not enjoying how "clean" my house is, even since they left by IGNORING the fact that the mess is just piled behind folding doors. That would just be pure denial.
