I like sugar as much, if not more, than theaverage Joe.
I do NOT, however, like it in the form of a thick orange syrup. Sorry folks, but CHILLING it does not improve the taste. And gagging down something that is totally gross is even harder when you know that the end result is feeling almost as gross as the
stuff tastes.
I consoled myself thinking that as soon as it was over I would head home and make some cheesy scrambled eggs, or something else protein to combat all that sugar.
I didn't factor in my ultrasound appointment. Or the fact that I would have to wait almost an hour for them to see me. But amazingly, I didn't feel bad. I am hoping that is a good sign and means that I was metabolizing my sugar like a trooper.
The ultrasound was fine. She is still a girl baby. Always good to know. I mean, just in case. And she is small. Estimated to be between 1 and 1.5 lbs. Her head is only about 1 week back gestationally, but her length is back about 2 weeks. But considering that both Chase and Ellis were under 6 lbs. and only 18 and 18.5 inches, respectively-- and the fact that the parents (AKA Mark and Jennifer) are not the tallest folks on the block-- we were told that they will likely keep a watch on the size, but won't worry about it at this point.
Back to the sugar. I have to wait to hear what the results were. But am hoping that they are fine and that I can continue to enjoy sugar the way I like it best... in a piece of fruit... or a nice Now and Later.
