Table for Ten

My sister and her family are visiting from Texas! Yippee.

So good so actually see them- IN PERSON. Sure, I talk to my sister almost daily and sometimes more often than that... Sure, I see pictures of my niece and nephews. But that isn't the same as cousins zipping around the yard playing together. Or having confirmation that you 13 year old niece is now taller than you and your 10 year old nephew is quickly gaining on you.

This weekend, we ventured out as a group. First we headed out to the movies. Ice Age, if you are wondering. We were spread around the theatre because we were not early enough to secure 10 seats together. But Chase got to sit next to Pierce and this helped her brave out the dinosaurs. Ian, being a nearly 3 year old Dino fanatic, enjoyed the movie so much he wanted to "rewind and play again!"

We then ventured out for Mexican at the good old El Campasino. Table for ten, please! Must have been the night for big groups. 2 groups of 10 in front and 2 groups of 9 behind. All squeezed into the old McDonald's. But I was amazed at how everyone behaved and ate their dinners. [Even if Pierce refused until he heard that he wouldn't get a quarter for the candy machines unless he ate, and Ellis got hyper and decided that I was a jungle gym in the last 10 minutes.]

Overall, not nearly as scary as I thought it was going to be. In fact, it was a lot of fun.

We have a few more weeks for cousins to enjoy together time. We'll try to make the most of it!
